NFL Draft 2021: Saints get their defensive captain.

Mock drafts are a wonderful world, aren’t they? NFL teams in need get the things they desire! Nobody gets left high and dry! Nobody drafts Daniel Jones at No. 6! What a Xanadu.

As far as the Saints go, the consensus seems to be they’ll look linebacker, and be less than peeved when Zaven Collins comes off the board at 26, allowing them to go all-SEC with Bolton.

This is a high-IQ MLB for a team that will look a lot different next season and might have to build from the bottom up. Bolton is a very solid place to start.

When given the chance to bet on the Packers disappointing Aaron Rodgers, that’s generally a safe decision to make.

But are they really going to get out of the first round this year, with one of the deepest wide receiver classes in recent memory, without nabbing one? Really? We can’t believe that, as much as we might want to.

Toney/Toni/Tone blitzed through the SEC as Kyle Trask’s No. 2 option in 2020, racking up 70 catches, 984 yards, and 10 touchdowns as a receiver. His electric speed is his calling card, and would bring a dimension to Rodgers’ offense that the Pack hasn’t really had … at all in recent years. With Aaron Jones likely to depart and AJ Dillon presumably replacing him, Green Bay will likely need to veer away from smashmouth football for a bit, at least until Dillon is more established. Open the lanes for Toney and let him sprint away.
