NFL Draft 2021: Browns select the leftover linebacker.

I’m sorry, the Browns at 26? The Cleveland Browns? Surely this must be a mistake. Don’t worry. I’ll get to the bottom of this.

No, your eyes do not deceive you. Cleveland will not be in the mix for one of the draft’s top quarterbacks — especially not after Baker Mayfield took a Year 3 leap and collected a playoff win on the road in Pittsburgh. They won’t be pursuing weapons, either, with Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr., Nick Chubb, Austin Hooper and Kareem Hunt all firmly entrenched.

With Owusu-Koramoah off the board, we’ll stick with the consensus and give Cleveland smaller-school linebacker Zaven Collins out of Tulsa, who’ll fit right into the resurgent defense in The Land.

Doesn’t it just feel like the Ravens end up with an electric weapon every year, no matter where they draft? On either side of the ball?

Remember last year when we all tried to convince ourselves Patrick Queen wouldn’t translate to NFL speed and wouldn’t be quite the same player and leader? Well, 0-for-1, as his dynamic playmaking showed up in spades in Baltimore.

This time around, it appears that most believe the Ravens will plunder this deep wide receiver draft to give Lamar Jackson a more trustworthy pass-catcher than the men in his current boom-or-bust crew.

Moore’s 2018 season had him pitted for the very top of this draft (1,258 yards, 12 receiving TDs/two rushing TDs), but the numbers haven’t matched the breakout since. We still have full faith that Jim Harbaugh’s staff can milk the best possible outcome out of Moore once again.
