Even the most cursory examination of the Patriots and their roster will tell you that they lack any sort of difference-maker on the perimeter. Luckily for them, this draft is once again a gold mine when it comes to wide receiver talent, as several Day 2 players have the potential to go in the first round in weaker classes.

Playing under Mike Gundy is a good way to guarantee constant targets as a wide receiver, and Tylan Wallace took advantage of that by recording over 3,400 yards and 26 touchdowns during his time in Oklahoma State.

Wallace was another Senior Bowl standout, as he needed to show that his injury concerns were overblown. He did just that, showing off crisp route-running and the ability to make tough, contested catches, all of which show up on his film. Wallace’s speed and ability to accelerate to maximum speed both are exceptional, and that should make him feared both as a runner and a vertical threat.

Belichick, a Bill Parcells disciple, clearly values multiple years of production at reputable programs in his draft picks, and Wallace has been one of the best players in the Big 12 since 2018. After a strong week in Mobile, he could end up in New England.
