Watch Tony Romo do a spot-on impression of ex-Patriots QB Tom Brady.

When former Cowboys QB Tony Romo left football behind and stopped trying to impersonate Patriots legend Tom Brady on the playing field, it seems he never quite gave up on mocking Brady off of it.

Romo has gotten a lot more colorful now that he’s paid to be CBS’ lead commentator on their Sunday afternoon keystone broadcasts, and he joined Jimmy Kimmel on ABC’s aptly-named Jimmy Kimmel Live to ham it up on Tuesday night.

Kimmel and Romo are old friends (Jimmy’s Cousin Sal is famously a Romo disciple), and so the pair got to talking about a drunken dinner they’d had a few years back featuring some off-the-cuff impressions of the league’s great quarterbacks.

Luckily for all of us, Romo was coerced into trying out a few of them on the air.

“That was the night that I forgot a lot of stuff,” Romo dismissively said of his QB stance escapades before launching right into Brady.

In case you don’t have the patience to watch, rest assured the impression does include the apparent 40 years in the pocket Brady almost always seemed to have in New England, followed by a very casual across-the-body arm flop.

Of course, Brady was a good sport about the whole thing, giving Romo his props while taking a shot at his Brett Favre impression.

Somebody’s trying to get invited to the Spider-Verse.

We don’t think we’re alone in saying we enjoy Romo a lot more now that the reins have been taken off him in the booth. We also vastly prefer his success not being correlated to victories for that damned team with the star on their helmets.

Maybe Brady should do a revenge Romo impression, though? Crumple to the ground and sob? Too soon?

He could’ve gone more ruthless on TB12, to be sure. Maybe next time, he’ll do an impression of Brady accepting a million-dollar government check.
