The New York Jets are just terrible and all Patriots fans can do is laugh.

Regardless of the New England Patriots‘ situation in any given season, fans should wake up each and every morning thankful they don’t have to support the New York Jets. Yet again, one of the worst-run organizations in sports is making headlines in an embarrassing fashion.

According to the latest buzz, the Jets are trying to trade Le’Veon Bell as soon as possible, less than a year and a half into his four-year, $52 million contract. So many factors about this situation are hilarious. Where to begin!?

The way Bill Belichick does business just makes you realize how good Patriots fans have it, even though the team suffered an early playoff exit in 2019.

For one, the Jets signed Bell a year after he decided to sit out the entire 2018 season over his contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers and guaranteed him $27 million at signing once he officially became a free agent.

Then, they thought he’d be fresh for the 2019 season with no offensive line in front of him. He rushed for 789 yards (averaging 3.2 yards per carry and 52.6 yards per game) in 15 games last year. Wait, wait, it gets better.

They BACKLOADED his contract, which essentially gives them a 0% chance of them finding a buyer at any point over the next three years. Who is going to want to pay base salaries of $8.5 million, $9 million and $8.5 million through 2022 for a guy who is a) clearly a product of the Steelers system and b) an off-the-field liability?

The best part? Head coach Adam Gase reportedly never even wanted him!

And now, the Jets and their incompetent front office think they can rid themselves of Bell before they owe him $8.5 million this Thursday. If you ever needed a true, lucid, accurate definition of delusion, here is it, folks!

So in case you were all upset about the Patriots’ troubling COVID-19 situation, take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy the fact your team will NEVER be the New York Jets.

UPDATE: THE JETS HAVE RELEASED LE’VEON BELL.

You really can’t make this up.
