Patriots fans aren’t going to like what they’re hearing from Tom Brady.

For those of you in New England who have written off Patriots icon Tom Brady after he left the team in free agency to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, good luck avoiding all of the media coverage for the next eight months. Cam Newton can only save you for so long.

And when Brady’s delivering sound bites like these, you better just turn your phone off and make sure you’re not doing too much exploring on the internet.

The Bucs QB (it still hurts) caught up with Peter King of NBC Sports on Monday and answered a number of questions, including whether he’s happy with the decision he made to leave the Patriots after two decades as the team’s unquestioned leader.

"“When I added it up, Tampa seemed like it was a great opportunity. I am so happy with the decision I made,” Brady told NBC Sports’ Peter King.“I made a decision to do something different. It was a very thoughtful decision. It wasn’t a spur of the moment thing. Really since the moment I got here they’ve embraced me. They’ve embraced me with the opportunity to go and lead the team—that’s a big responsibility for me.”"

As if Brady’s “transformation tweet” last week wasn’t enough, now he’s talking about how he’s loving his decision to start anew after leaving the Pats high and dry in their worst offseason in terms of turnover possibly ever.

And Pats fans are just seeing more of Brady’s humor on social media … on a new team … with a new coach … enduring a new chapter. It’s without a doubt going to be painful to watch, especially if the Bucs turn out to be a force in the NFC.

But the Pats have made themselves into a contender despite the major losses. Fans have to respect Brady’s decision to move on, and now embrace a new era of Patriots football. It was bound to happen, regardless if it transpired the way you wanted it to or not.
