Patriots QB Cam Newton posted another workout photo on Instagram.

The marriage between the New England Patriots and Cam Newton is going to be a sight to behold. There’s just no telling how the two are going to mesh.

For starters, the Patriots (by practice) function like robots and are the NFL‘s most mundane team off the field. Anything and everything that could be viewed as a potential distraction to winning a championship is forbidden.

Newton, meanwhile, is one of the more outspoken players in the league and recently posted a workout video in which he proclaimed, “I’m getting tired of being humble now.” How will these two contrasting styles work together?

To add to this compelling narrative, Newton was back to logging his workout routine on Instagram. Only this time, he referenced his fandom of hit HBO series “Game of Thrones” in his caption, which was somehow more difficult to interpret than ever before.

It really seems like Newton is prepared to channel his inner Jon Snow and dismantle every enemy standing in his way this upcoming season.

In all seriousness, the former MVP’s brashness and moxie have always been a part of his personality, and has without a doubt accentuated his greatness. Newton’s haters are as loud as ever following a lost final year in Carolina, and his recent social media activity suggests his sole motivation in 2020 is to prove them wrong.

What better team to do that with than the Patriots? How many years have opposing fans counted out the Pats after one or two bad losses, only to watch them plow through the AFC and win three Super Bowls over the last six years?

Let’s just hope that the 31-year-old superstar’s tenure in Foxborough is more memorable than the final season of Game of Thrones.
