Assuming there is indeed a training camp this year, these five players could find themselves on the roster bubble for the New England Patriots.

Anyone writing off the New England Patriots simply because of Tom Brady’s departure could be in for a serious wake-up call this season.

This is a roster that is still among the very best in the NFL from top-to-bottom and in all three phases of the game — plus, Bill Belichick is still the head coach. He’s pretty darn good, in case you hadn’t heard.

Heading into training camp and what should be one of the more unusual lead-ins to the regular season in NFL history (thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic), there are still a number of players who might find their continuing employment with the organization precarious at best.

Here are five of them — five established veterans who have been in the league for a while now, either with the Patriots or with other team(s), but who are set to enter the final stages of this summer’s offseason firmly placed on the roster bubble.
