4th Down: Address the quarterback position

I still am in shock that Tom Brady is no longer a New England Patriot. But I am slowly getting over it.

However, it is taking some time. The Jarrett Stidham era is about to begin, and I hope the kid plays well.

As for the depth at the quarterback position, New England hasn’t added anyone to the roster aside from Brian Hoyer to help the second-year pro through his growing pains. A lot of experts expected the team to select a quarterback in the draft, but they opted not to, instead using their picks on defense and other positions on offense.

They could still add a free agent like Cam Newton and Jameis Winston, but it is doubtful that they will at this point, as they seem to have confidence in Stidham.

All in all, the Patriots have had a good offseason thus far, but there is still time for the team to get even better before the season begins.
