2. Patriots offensive weaponry

Secondly, we’ll get to focus on the retooling and adjustment of the offensive weaponry.

Stidham is inheriting the same talent that the great Tom Brady couldn’t accomplish much success with last year — albeit with the addition of more rookies and inexperienced players.

To build off of that, the New England Patriots added seven undrafted free agent wide receivers this offseason and currently have nine in total on their roster. The intriguing part about the undrafted receiving group is that most of these players are slot receivers, leading us to believe that the Pats are preparing for Julian Edelman’s near-future successor.

Up until last season, the tight end position had been heavily utilized and relied on in New England. The Patriots addressed this situation by taking two tight ends — Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene — in the 2020 NFL Draft to add talent and youth to the receiving group as a whole for the team this season.
