1. The quarterback situation

Firstly, the Patriots have one of the most unknown and undecided quarterback rooms in the NFL for the first time in two decades.

This makes the quarterback situation in New England worth following, as it is the biggest storyline surrounding the Patriots this entire season.

After the departure of six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, the Patriots elected to ride the wave of second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham and see where he can take the team.

The Patriots also resorted to signing veteran quarterback Brian Hoyer for his third stint, along with two undrafted rookie free agents.

All signs are leading towards Stidham being the next starting quarterback for the Pats, but there is still a lot of speculation as to his readiness to do so. As such, more people have begun wondering if perhaps Hoyer will be the Week 1 starter in 2020.
