4) Week 14 – Thursday Night Football @ Los Angeles Rams

It is a Super Bowl 53 rematch.

However, it is not the high-flying, super-powered Rams of 2018 — Los Angeles went just 9-7 last year.

And it’s not the Tom Brady-led Patriots that it has been for the last 20 years.

It is Week 14 in the season and we will definitely know the narrative of both these teams by then. We will know if Stidham can be a starting quarterback or if he is a disaster. We will also know if the Rams have returned to the form they were in two years ago or if they are desperately stuck in a division that has heavyweights Seattle and San Francisco in it.

New England will actually be in Los Angeles far before the Rams will, which could be an advantage. The Patriots will be in L.A. for the Chargers game the Sunday prior, so they will be staying in town and waiting for the Rams to come back from Arizona before they play on Thursday night.

It is far too soon to predict the outcome of this game, but my gut tells me that it won’t be high-scoring by any means. The Rams will be underprepared on the short week and won’t be able to put up points against a Belichick defense, but I think Stidham on the road during prime-time won’t yield the best offense either.

Both teams below 20 points, toss up.
