Jordan Matthews

Lastly, Jordan Matthews would be a great addition to the New England Patriots for what would technically be his second stint with the team after a brief moment during the 2018 offseason.

In his first three seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, Matthews impressively accumulated 225 receptions for 2,673 yards and scored 19 touchdowns in 46 games. He displayed early signs of greatness, meaning there’s a chance for him to revive his once promising career.

The addition of Matthews would bring height (6’3), strength, and a different kind of physicality that currently is not on the team. It’s worth mentioning that he was put on IR in 2017 just before New England signed him the following offseason.

Matthews suffered a knee injury in 2017 and has not been the same since. He has seen a decline in production as he’s bounced around a few different teams. He last played for the San Francisco 49ers, but was cut before the team’s playoff run.

The intrigue was once there for the former 2014 second-round pick from the New England Patriots. Perhaps they could give it a second go-around with the talented wide receiver.
