Taylor Gabriel

Taylor Gabriel is 29 years old and has six years of NFL experience under his belt. He has played two seasons apiece for the Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons, and most recently the Chicago Bears.

Gabriel has been a productive player throughout his entire career. He is capable of playing in the slot position as well as having the speed and footwork to take on a deep route.

Gabriel also remains a productive player no matter who is quarterbacking. He has had success receiving passes from Johnny Manziel, Brian Hoyer, Matt Ryan, and Mitchell Tribusky, making him a valuable receiver.

The addition of Gabriel would add experience to a rather inexperienced receiving group at a very inexpensive price with a player who is in his prime years.

Gabriel (5’7 and 168 lbs) is durable, and up until last season, had never missed a game. He missed a handful of games last year due to a concussion, and was released by the Bears in an effort to create more salary cap space.

Personally, I think that Gabriel is the exact type of receiver that the Patriots typically have on their roster, and that he could also fill in a few different roles in New England. His experience could prove to mesh well with an up and coming young quarterback like Jarrett Stidham.
