The New England Patriots and their Hall of Fame selection committee have announced the franchise’s All-Decade Team of the 2010s.

The New England Patriots have been one of the most successful and relevant teams in all of sports over the last two decades.

We’ve seen many players contribute in New England during the last 10 years, but none more so than the All-Decade Team that the Patriots Hall of Fame selection committee has put together.

This group is completed by current and former Patriots who have contributed to the historic amount of success in New England over the last 10 years, and it includes 12 offensive players, 12 defensive players, one kicker, one punter, one return man, one special teams player, and one head coach.

Starting with the offensive side of the ball, we knew that Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, and Rob Gronkowski were each going to make the team. But the selection committee has also selected the following offensive players:

-A solid and durable offensive line of David Andrews at center in between guards Logan Mankins and Joe Thuney, with Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer filling up the tackle positions.

-The talented group of skill position players will include wide receiver Wes Welker, running back James White, fullback James Develin, and Danny Amendola as the flex player (which is given to an additional wide receiver, running back, or tight end)

Now to the defensive side of the ball:

-Starting with the defensive line and working my way up, Vince Wilfork and Lawrence Guy are the defensive tackles alongside defensive ends Chandler Jones and Trey Flowers.

-The group of linebackers include Kyle Van Noy and Rob Ninkovich on the outside, with Dont’a Hightower and Jerod Mayo being the inside linebackers.

-The defensive back group is led by reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Stephon Gilmore, and Super Bowl hero, Malcolm Butler, manning the cornerback positions. Then there’s longtime Pats safeties Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung behind them.

The special teams unit consists of kicker Stephen Gostkowski, punter Ryan Allen, Edelman as the returner, and Matthew Slater as the special teams player.

And as always, Bill Belichick is the head coach of the All-Decade Team for the second time in his career.

Next. Jarrett Stidham is the big winner of the Patriots' draft. dark

Due to the New England Patriots being a veteran team that embodies longevity over the years, the All-Decade Team consists of 12 players who are currently on the roster — and they have all been on the team for at least nine years now.

This team also features Brady and Belichick impressively making their second New England Patriots All-Decade Team, while Edelman makes the team in multiple positions as a wide receiver and return man.

In the last decade, the New England Patriots advanced to five Super Bowls — winning three — while establishing the franchise’s double-dynasty in 20 years … which could very well be something that is never done again in the NFL.
