Tom Brady

No New England 2020 free agency article is complete without at least a mention of Tom Brady.

After all, Brady represents the biggest March prize in the NFL since the Indianapolis Colts released Peyton Manning and No. 18 went on to sign with John Elway’s Denver Broncos eight years ago. Here is another future Hall of Famer and arguably the greatest player in league history, and he’s somehow headed towards free agency.

We’ve written extensively at this point about all the rumors and speculation surrounding Brady’s future, so we won’t go super in-depth here. All we’re say is that there’s a very real chance — and it’s getting bigger every day — that No. 12 won’t be wearing a Patriots jersey come this September. As crazy as it is to imagine, he might very well be wearing Raiders, Titans, Chargers, or even 49ers colors this fall … or someone else’s.

All that being said, we’re still optimistic that Brady, Belichick, and the football gods end up coalescing — perhaps at the eleventh hour even — to get a new deal done that keeps TB12 in New England through the end of his prolific career.
