Julian Edelman, Tom Brady, and Jimmy Fallon walk into a North Carolina/Syracuse basketball game. The punch line? “He’s coming back.”

Of course when three superstars sit next to each other in any public setting, the cameras will be on them at one point or another. According to multiple accounts on Twitter this Saturday, Julian Edelman was caught on camera saying the words “He’s coming back. He’s coming back.”

We can only assume he’s speaking about his quarterback. Edelman was sitting right next to Brady obviously, and he knows just how much of a public hoopla and media circus is revolving around Brady right now and his potential free agency on March 18.

Edelman then gives a sheepish smile as he turns to Brady, almost knowing that big brother wasn’t a fan of him just saying that. The two have such a connection on and off the football field that all Brady did was slowly look over and give a grin back to Edelman — although he did look a bit unamused by his star receiver’s antics.

See for yourself:

The word of Tom Brady’s best friend — and greatest ally on the football field — carries a lot of weight. The two are inseparable during the season and then during the offseason as well. It’s not uncommon to find them training together at various practice fields around the country during the spring and summer.

However, only time will tell where the quarterback will be under center for the 2020 season. Brady is slotted to become a free agent on March 18th, although teams can begin “legal tampering” a couple days prior to that.

We all know the truth of the situation though: Brady has already long been receiving contact from teams around the league through backchannels. He’s rumored to be a target of many different NFL teams, including but not limited to: the New England Patriots (obviously), Titans, Chargers, Bears, Buccaneers, Raiders, Giants, and Dolphins.
