Number 2: The Goal Line Interception

Final. 24. 36. 28. 47

  • February 1st, 2015
  • Super Bowl XLIX
  • University of Phoenix Stadium
  • Glendale, Arizona

The final two games on this list are pretty tough to write about, because what can I really say that hasn’t been said before? Our No. 2 ranked game features one of the craziest, most unexpected endings to a Super Bowl ever.

These two teams were very evenly matched; even the Vegas line had both teams at equal odds. The first 59 minutes went back and forth, with New England holding a 28-24 lead with a minute to play.

A miracle catch from Jermaine Kearse put Seattle deep into Patriots territory. A few plays later, the Seahawks sat at the goal line, looking to clinch back-to-back Super Bowl victories. In comes Malcolm Butler, the same cornerback who got burnt by Kearse just plays earlier.

The rest is history.

Patriots Player of the Game: Malcolm Butler, 1 Interception

Number 1: 28-3

47. Final/OT. 28. 44. 34

  • February 5th, 2017
  • Super Bowl LI
  • NRG Stadium
  • Houston, Texas

What more can I really say? New England came back from a 28-3 deficit with just over two minutes left in the third quarter. It’s by far the greatest comeback of all time, and it belongs on the top of this list.
