2nd Down: Final tune-up before playoffs

The point of this game being a final tune-up for the playoffs was to work out some kinks, defeat the team that was below you in the standings, and gain momentum as you head into the playoffs.

After losing 27-24 to the Dolphins, that plan went completely out the window.

Looking at the game film should be “fun,” especially for the New England defense – who had one of their worst games of the year. This has been a recurring theme all season for the Patriots, and that is when they lose, it is usually because their defense played poorly.

If the New England Patriots play this way next week, the offseason will surely begin early for them.
