The New England Patriots look to end the 2019 season on a high note as they welcome the woeful Miami Dolphins to Foxboro for their Week 17 matchup.

The New England Patriots face the Miami Dolphins in the final regular season game of the 2019 NFL season. The Patriots went to Miami in Week 2 and defeated the Dolphins 43-0. This was also one week after Baltimore beat Miami 59-10.

By the time Miami hit their bye week in Week 5, they had lost all four of their opening games by a combined 163-26 margin. Miami lost three more games to start 0-7. After finally defeating the New York Jets in Week 9, Miami has gone from historically terrible to marginally competitive.

Head coach Brian Flores has Miami 4-4 in their last eight games. They have defeated the Jets, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, and Cincinnati Bengals along the way.

While the Dolphins are playing for pride, the Patriots still have unfinished business this season. Last week they defeated the Buffalo Bills 24-17 to claim an 11th consecutive AFC East title. However, they still need a victory to clinch the No. 2 seed in the AFC and a bye next week.
