3rd Down: Put the game away early, rest up for the playoffs

It is no secret that a lot of the roster is banged up at this point in the season… and that is also expected. This is football and injuries happen; there is nothing you can do about it.

However, as explained earlier, if the New England Patriots can have an extra week to heal up, they will benefit from that. They will be refreshed once the Divisional round comes around.

But it would be better if they got a head start on the healing process, by say halftime, if they can?

If they can put this game on ice by halftime, then Julian Edelman, Marcus Cannon, Jamie Collins, Jonathan Jones, Jason McCourty, and others can relax on the bench and heal their wounds from a long season.
