The 2019 NFL season concludes for the New England Patriots with an AFC East matchup against their division rival Miami Dolphins Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

A season filled with ups and downs for the hometown New England Patriots will finish Sunday against the Miami Dolphins, and then the playoffs start the following week.

It is unknown how effective and formidable New England might be once the playoffs start, as their inconsistent play – specifically from the offense – could hold them back from another Super Bowl run. However, the pieces are there for the seventh Super Bowl title… it’s just about putting them together when it matters most in January and February.

New England does not yet know their playoff schedule, as they could be playing on Wild Card Weekend or they could have that week off to prepare for the Divisional Round. One thing is for certain though, and that is that the Pats are division champs after defeating the Buffalo Bills a week ago.

But before we get too ahead of ourselves and look toward the playoffs, this game against the Dolphins is very much an important one for the New England Patriots.

This is where our 4 Downs Preview comes into play… let’s take a look, shall we?
