The New England Patriots have a tough matchup Saturday against the Buffalo Bills. The Patriots must win to keep their hopes of winning the AFC East alive.

The New England Patriots face the Buffalo Bills in the most important AFC East game since 2008. Ever since Tom Brady returned from his knee injury after missing that season, the AFC East has been the property of the New England Patriots.

While New England already won in Buffalo back in Week 4, the Bills are looking for revenge… and at just one game back, the Bills could wrest away first place in the AFC East for the first time since 1995. With an eye on a bye and home field in the Divisional round, this divisional game is a rare must-win at home for the Patriots.

The 2019 season has been an aberration for the Patriots as the defense and special teams have been the strongest aspect of the team. The passing game has struggled with the lack of play-makers and injuries to Tom Brady and Julian Edelman.

If the Patriots lose, they could be a Wild Card team for the first time in the Belichick-Brady era, and would have to play on Wild Card weekend for the first time since a decade ago in 2009.
