3rd Down: Have fun on defense

The defense has had two bad games this season, and both poor performances came in losses (Baltimore and Houston). Other than those two games though, the defense has been phenomenal all season long. They held the Chiefs to just three points in the second half of last week’s game, but it wasn’t enough to put a W on the schedule… although they weren’t to blame for the loss.

As a matter of fact, if the defense hadn’t been so great this season, who knows where the New England Patriots would be in the standings. They are a top-five defense in the league, as they rank first in points allowed (12.9) and yards allowed (264.8) while ranking second in pass yards allowed (171.8) and fourth in rush yards allowed (93).

Stephon Gilmore, Kyle Van Noy, Devin McCourty, Dont’a Hightower and Jamie Collins should have fun against this terrible Bengals offense.
