3rd Down: Will the offense show up before it’s too late?

It has been a recurring theme that the New England offense digs itself into a hole that’s seemingly impossible to get out of. But just when you think they’re finally coming alive, it is too late in the game… and they have simply run out of time.

Sunday was no different. The Patriots were lucky that the defense kept them in the game to even give them a chance at the end. It was a promising effort by the offense because they seemed to be clicking more than they had in prior games, but still, the Pats struggled to move the ball and put points on the board with any kind of regularity or consistency.

It was indeed disappointing, but with two games coming up against the Bengals and Dolphins, it’s certainly still possible for New England to discover some kind of rhythm on offense before the postseason arrives.
