Mohamed Sanu and Phillip Dorsett were both injured in the game against the Eagles on Sunday night and  are probably going to miss Sunday’s game against Dallas.

The Patriots have struggled to keep their receivers healthy all season and it looks like Sunday will be no different when they host the Dallas Cowboys. Phillip Dorsett suffered a concussion in the Sunday night game against the Eagles and as of Wednesday, has not returned to practice and will likely miss the game against Dallas. Mohamed Sanu, who had a breakout game against the Eagles three weeks ago, also tweaked his ankle in the game against the Eagles and has also missed practice. With this week’s game only three days away, it looks like Tom Brady will have a limited receiving core yet again.

So with these guys out, who will Tom Brady have to rely on at the receiver position? He still has his right-hand man Julian Edelman, as well as his rookie receivers in N’Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers. Beyond that, he will have to rely on guys like Ben Watson and James White to be involved in New England’s air attack. Along with Sanu and Dorsett, the Patriots also lost receiver Gunner Olszewski to the IR this week, in order the bring Isaiah Wynn back to the 53 man roster. Julian Edelman and James White are the only two pass catchers for New England this week who have a strong chemistry with Tom Brady. New England’s offense has been stagnant this season, but the return of Isaiah Wynn should likely help aid some of their issues. This will be a very tough game for New England’s offense, Dallas has a very strong defense and a dangerous offense led by Dak Prescott who has been playing at an MVP level as of late.

One thing that may benefit New England in this game is the weather. It is expected to be in the high 30’s with rain and snow. Not only do the Patriots play in New England and are used to bad weather games, they also practice outside to prepare for these conditions. This will be a massive victory if New England can get a win and maintain first place in the AFC as their offense continues to get healthy.
