Tom Brady displeased with offense’s performance despite the win
Despite the win, Tom Brady was not happy with how the offense played against the Eagles on Sunday. This game was personal for Brady, who admitted he is still not over the Super Bowl LII loss to the Eagles.

The Patriots held on to win they’re ninth game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles in a game that did not go the way many people expected. Unlike the Super Bowl LII match up between the Eagles and Patriots that ended in a score of 41-33, the rematch did not have nearly as much scoring. This was the first time the two teams have matched up since that Super Bowl and it was still a sore subject for players on the Patriots who were around for that loss in Super Bowl LII. Sunday’s rematch resulted in a final score of 17-10 with the Patriots having to overcome a 10 point lead that they allowed in the first quarter. New England did what they had to salvage a win, but after the game, Tom Brady was clearly frustrated with the offense’s recent lack of production.
Here he is after the game:
Brady made some interesting comments in his post game press conference last night. He accurately describes the offense as “up and down” this season, and tonight was clearly one of those “down” weeks. He is quick to praise the defense and recognize that they are the reason that the teams has been able to stay in these close games, despite the lack of production on offense. Brady also says that he believes the offense “can do everything better”. He believes that despite their 9-1 record, the team needs to fix their offensive woes if they have Super Bowl aspirations.
It is very rare that we see Brady so visibly displeased after a win. With just six games left in the regular season and the red-hot Baltimore Ravens nipping at the heals of the first-seed Patriots, time in running out for the offense to make changes. One thing that will help is the return of Isaiah Wynn. After appearing in the first game of the season, Wynn spent eight weeks on the injured reserve and he is finally eligible to suit on in Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. It is no secret that Marshall Newhouse has not been an adequate left tackle in Wynn’s absence and he would never say it, but I know Brady is very excited to have his left tackle back. Hopefully Brady’s presser will be a little more positive next Sunday.
