The New England Patriots bounced back from their first loss of the season by outlasting the Philadelphia Eagles 17-10 on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field.

The game Sunday evening went down to the wire, taking literally all 60 minutes for the New England Patriots to pull out a gutsy win over the Philadelphia Eagles. They fell behind early after allowing Philadelphia to score 10 straight points, but the Patriots rallied to outscore the Eagles 17-0 from that point forward, leaning on their defense and special teams while also pulling out a bit of trickery on offense when they needed a spark down in the red zone.

In a hostile environment like Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, the New England Patriots overcame a 10-point deficit, an energized and vocal crowd, and a talented Eagles team that is battling for supremacy in the NFC East with the Dallas Cowboys (who come to Foxborough next Sunday).

In overcoming all these factors, the Patriots improved their season record to 9-1. This was a much-needed win for them as they look forward to hosting the 6-4 Cowboys next week. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a look at the 4 Downs preview from earlier Sunday and see how the Patriots did in addressing each key area of focus.
