The New England Patriots suffered their first loss of the 2019 NFL season as they were defeated by the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 37-20 Sunday night.

New England came into Baltimore with an unblemished 8-0 record and when the night was over, they left Baltimore with their first loss, leaving their record at 8-1. It was not their best game overall as they made a lot of uncharacteristic mistakes and it spelled disaster for the Patriots. They met their match in the Ravens and they were as advertised. The tough offense led by Lamar Jackson torched the New England defense and the Ravens stout defense, even though the Patriots offense did have some success, played much better than Bill Belichick’s defense. ultimately that was the difference in a continuation of this perfect season and now having one loss under their belt.

New England committed numerous costly penalties and turned the ball over multiple times and that didn’t help them at all. In the end, the Ravens made more plays than the Patriots and took care of the ball when they needed to and that is why they improved their record to 6-2.

It is time to review the 4 down preview to the game last night.
