New England Patriots vs. New York Jets live stream: How to watch online
The New England Patriots are all set to take on their AFC East division rival, the New York Jets, in Foxborough today. Here’s how you can watch!
The New England Patriots and the New York Jets are set to meet for the 120th edition of their AFC East rivalry in just a couple hours from Gillette Stadium. The Patriots enter the divisional game at 2-0 on the season so far, whereas the Jets come into Foxborough at 0-2 under new head coach Adam Gase.
New England leads the all-time series against New York, 65-54-1. The Patriots also hold a 2-1 edge over the Jets in postseason meetings, and are riding a current six-game winning streak in the rivalry.
The last time the Jets came into Foxborough and beat Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots was all the way back in 2011, when New York was still captained by head coach Rex Ryan and quarterback Mark Sanchez. Both Ryan and Sanchez are now out of the NFL altogether, with both working in sports media as television analysts.
This version of the Jets will feature third-stringer Luke Falk at quarterback. Falk, a graduate of Washington State, has been a noted admirer and imitator of Tom Brady’s football philosophies since he was a teenager. He now will have the chance to duel his lifelong idol when both teams take the field this afternoon.
For Brady, this game will represent not only a chance to push the Pats’ undefeated season record to 3-0; it also offers up an opportunity for him to break a tie with injured New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees for the second-most career passing touchdowns. Brees and Brady are currently deadlocked at 522 apiece, while Peyton Manning is No. 1 all-time with 539.
The Patriots defense will also look to continue their impressive start to the season today. Dating back to 2018 and including the playoffs, New England has surrendered just 10 first-half points in their past seven games. The Patriots have also allowed just six points total over their past three games, dating back to Super Bowl 53.
