The New England Patriots are all set to take on their AFC East division rival, the Miami Dolphins, in South Florida today. Here’s how you can watch!

On Sunday afternoon in South Beach, the New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins will resume a divisional rivalry that has been played every year since 1966.

Notably, the Patriots haven’t held a winning edge in the all-time series since 1967; but with a season sweep this year and one more victory in 2020, New England could finally even the all-time record between these teams at 55 apiece. They could then overtake Miami in the series with a second consecutive season sweep next year.

To beat the Fins at Hard Rock, the Pats need another complete performance in all three phases of the game, similar to how they executed in Week 1 against the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers. New England rolled over Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh defense by a final score of 33-3.

For the Dolphins to spring the unlikely upset, they’ll need their defense to step up better than they did last week against the Ravens, when Miami gave up 59 points and 643 total yards of offense to Baltimore. The Dolphins will also need a much better outing from their offense, led by quarterbacks Ryan Fitzpatrick and/or Josh Rosen, who combined to go just 15/32 for 179 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions en route to scoring only 10 points on the day.

The New England Patriots are also expecting to have Antonio Brown in the fold for the first time since he came over from the Raiders after being released by Oakland last Saturday. When healthy and active, Brown is one of the top receiving threats in the entire league – he’s finished with at least 1,100 yards in seven of his nine NFL seasons, and hasn’t scored less than eight touchdowns in a season since 2012.

If the Patriots manage to beat the Dolphins on Sunday, New England will improve to 53-55 all-time against Miami. With a win, Brady would also improve his record against the Dolphins to 8-10 on the road, and 23-11 overall.
