FOXBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS – JANUARY 13: Ramon Humber #50 of the New England Patriots reacts during the fourth quarter in the AFC Divisional Playoff Game against the Los Angeles Chargers at Gillette Stadium on January 13, 2019 in Foxborough, Massachusetts. (Photo by Elsa/Getty Images) /

Ramon Humber

Position: Special Teams/LB

Overview: Like Albert McClellan, Humber was released by his former team (the Buffalo Bills) during the 2018 season. The Patriots – who had previously signed him in 2016 – brought the veteran special teams ace back to Foxborough to help fix a unit that had struggled through the first half of the 2018 season.

Humber and McClellan did indeed provide a spark on special teams, just as they were intended to do. Both players performed well during starring roles in Super Bowl 53. Like McClellan, Humber should be back at a reasonable rate if he’ll agree to it.

Expected Cost: One year at Veteran’s minimum of around $1 million.
