LaAdrian Waddle

Position: Swing Tackle

Overview: Waddle arrived in New England in 2015 and–when healthy–has been a solid fill-in on both the left and right sides at tackle. He was a free agent last season and generated zero interest on the open market, despite a solid 2017 season filling in for Marcus Cannon.

Waddle’s playing time was limited in 2018, but he was once again solid when asked to step in again. Unlikely to be a starter in New England, Waddle may catch on with another team elsewhere… but after his market failed to materialize last year, an increase in salary should keep the valuable back-up in New England.

Especially now with news breaking the Trent Brown plays to spend his 2019 season with the Oakland Raiders, it might make sense for both sides (Waddle and the Patriots) to come up with a fresh pact.

Expected Cost: One year at $3 million mostly guaranteed
