On a cold night in January, the Ravens came into Foxborough as seven-point underdogs… but they certainly didn’t play like it.

Baltimore took an early 14-0 lead in the first quarter before Brady found Rob Gronkowski on a few deep balls to set up a four yard rushing touchdown for himself. Danny Amendola would end up making a catch, breaking a tackle, and diving about four yards in mid-air to break the plane of the end zone to tie the game.

With the Patriots driving at the end of the half, Brady threw an interception that led to a Ravens touchdown.

21-14 Baltimore at halftime.

The Ravens would be the next team to score, making it 28-14 and giving them their second two-touchdown lead of the game, but magically the Patriots found a way to erase that deficit once again.

The play of the game that every Pats fan remembers came on 1st and 10 from their own 49, as Brady threw a backwards pass to Julian Edleman, who then leaned back and launched a pass of his own to a wide-open Danny Amendola streaking down the sideline for a 51 yard touchdown.

Tie game at 28.

A Ravens field goal gave the visitors a brief 31-28 lead, but Brady wound up dropping a dime pass to Brandon LaFell for the go-ahead 23 yard touchdown.

35-31 Patriots, five minutes to play.

As he’s done so many times at the end of games, safety Duron Harmon intercepted Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco to kill any hopes of a comeback. Brady and Belichick as a duo advanced to their 9th AFC Championship Game, and went on to win Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks.
