The New England Patriots have suddenly seen their chances to win the AFC increase after the recent news about Kareem Hunt.

As we get closer to NFL Playoffs, the New England Patriots have suddenly seen a massive shift in the AFC. After a video was released about Kansas City Chiefs running back, Kareem Hunt, the Chiefs have decided to release Hunt.

As the top team in the AFC, this is a big blow to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl chances, as Hunt was a big part of their offense. So far this season, Hunt has totaled 824 rushing yards, 378 receiving yards, and 14 total touchdowns.

Hunt has been one of the best running backs in the NFL once again this season, and filling his shoes will not be easy. In both the running and the passing game, Hunt has been an elite player.

With a 9-2 record, the Chiefs are currently the best team in the AFC, with a one-game lead on the Patriots. However, without Hunt, things just became a lot more interesting for the Chiefs. With games against the Ravens and Chargers at home, the Chiefs will also have to play in Seattle against the Seahawks.

Losing one of the top players in Hunt has made these games question marks for the Chiefs, as they could easily drop one of those three games. For the Patriots, the win earlier in the season against the Chiefs looms large as a potential tie-breaker, and their schedule is also easier than the Chiefs’.

Prior to Hunt being released, many were predicting that we would see the Chiefs and the Patriots meeting up in the AFC Title Game. While that might still happen, the Chiefs losing Hunt has made the AFC very interesting heading into the home stretch of the season. The Patriots will have to avoid any letdowns for the rest of the season, as getting home-field advantage is a real possibility.
