In Week 13 of the fantasy football season, what can owners expect from New England Patriots running back, James White?

As we get closer to the end of the fantasy football season, the New England Patriots will hope to get another win closer to clinching a bye week in the NFL Playoffs. For fantasy owners of players on the Patriots, they will be hoping for a big week in a tough matchup against the Vikings.

The Vikings might be underperforming a little this season, but they still have one of the top defenses in the NFL. That strong defense has turned into the Vikings not being a great team to face in fantasy football.

While the Vikings do have a strong defense, the Patriots being at home certainly gives them a little boost on offense. One player that has been very consistent for the Patriots this season is James White.

When White became more involved in the offense after the slow start, the Patriots started playing much better football. So far this season, White has totaled 10 touchdowns and 870 yards from scrimmage.

The Vikings have been very strong against opposing running backs this season, but White is a unique player that does most of his damage as a receiver out of the backfield. In points per reception leagues, White has certainly been crushing it with his 67 receptions so far this season.

What will be interesting for White this week in terms of fantasy production will be the return of Rex Burkhead. Like White, Burkhead is a threat in both the passing and the running game, and they might look to use a fresh Burkhead a bit on Sunday. In addition to Burkhead’s return Sony Michel is also taking a firm grip on most of the carries with his strong performance against the Jets.  Even with the Patriots at full strength at running back, White will find a way to produce for fantasy owners.

Projection: 30 rushing yards, six receptions, 60 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown.
