New England Patriots are shockingly healthy for Week 13
By Nick Ziegler
As we get closer to Week 13 for the New England Patriots, they are looking very healthy heading into their matchup with Minnesota.
For most of the season, the New England Patriots have been a bit banged up. A lot of starters have missed time for the Patriots on both sides of the ball, and that might have played a part in their slow start to the season.
However, with the playoffs getting closer, the Patriots are starting to get healthy. Last week, we saw Rob Gronkowski make his return. This coming week, Rex Burkhead will be making his return, as he was activated off injured reserve.
As the Patriots head into a big game against the Vikings, they are once again very healthy. While Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were listed on the injury report earlier in the week, both were absent from the injury report on Friday.
Considering that Brady was questionable last week, seeing him removed from the injury report is a good sign that his knee is feeling good. Since the Vikings are able to get after the quarterback, it will be important for Brady to have his mobility in the pocket. For Gronkowski, he looked good in his return last week, as he totaled three receptions, 56 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.
With the Patriots pretty much at full strength with a healthy team, they should be poised for some good football against the Vikings and moving forward. While there is no guarantee that they will be able to stay healthy for the rest of the regular season, it is encouraging that they are this healthy at this point of the season.
One injury to watch for the Vikings is the status of cornerback, Xavier Rhodes. If Rhodes is unable to go, that would be a huge blow for the Vikings defense. With both teams relatively healthy, we should see a good game on Sunday.
