New England Patriots: Week 13 fantasy projection for Sony Michel
By Nick Ziegler
In Week 13 of the fantasy football season, what can we expect from New England Patriots running back, Sony Michel?
The New England Patriots were able to get a fairly comfortable road win against the New York Jets in Week 12. Really for the first time all season, the Patriots were a pretty healthy team.
Their starting offensive line was all there and Rob Gronkowski was also back in action. As expected at full health, the Patriots were able to beat the Jets. While the Jets did give them a good run in the first half, New England took over in the second half and pulled away.
In the win, one of the standout players for the Patriots was Sony Michel. So far this season, Michel has performed well when he has been healthy. Unfortunately, staying healthy has been a bit of an issue for Michel.
Against the Jets, Michel had his best game of the season. He was able to total 133 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown, as he was pretty much unstoppable all game. Despite a bit of an injury scare on a tackle, Michel was able to run all over New York. For fantasy owners of Michel, the performance was certainly a welcomed one.
In Week 13, the matchup for Michel will be a tough one against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings will be heading to New England with one of the top defenses in the league, and they have been very strong against the run.
This is certainly a tough week to predict for Michel. When healthy, the Patriots have been pretty committed to running the football with him. When he plays well, so do the Patriots. However, it is not easy to run against this Vikings defense, and Patriots might elect to attack them through the air instead.
While the Patriots like balance on offense, it’s hard to predict that Michel will have a big game.
