New England Patriots: Week 13 fantasy projection for Tom Brady
By Nick Ziegler
In Week 13, the New England Patriots will be facing the Minnesota Vikings. What can fantasy owners of Tom Brady expect?
Despite having a questionable tag in Week 12 against the New York Jets, New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady was able to have a solid game. With a slight knee issue, Brady threw for over 275 passing yards and two touchdowns.
While it wasn’t a huge fantasy performance for Brady against the Jets, it was a solid showing. The Patriots really ran the ball well in this game, and that resulted in the passing offense not having to do as much. With over 200 rushing yards as a team, it was understandable why Brady didn’t have to sling it around too much.
In Week 13, fantasy owners will likely be hoping for a big game from Brady. With the fantasy football playoffs right around the corner in most leagues, wins are very important now. This week, the Patriots will have a somewhat tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
Since the Patriots are playing at home, that does help their offense, as they can easily score in the upper-20s on anyone. However, the Vikings do have a talented defense, and have been stingy allowing fantasy points to quarterbacks.
So far this season, Brady has played well, but he has been a slight disappointment for fantasy owners. In his last five games, Brady has only thrown for over 300 passing yards in one of those games. Also, Brady has had zero touchdown passes in two of them.
While Brady hasn’t played awful in those games, the fantasy numbers aren’t what we expect. With a total below 50 as of now, this game isn’t expected to be a super high-scoring shootout. Brady will likely have a nice game, but it probably won’t be a monster fantasy performance.
