New England Patriots: Tom Brady is feeling better this week
By Nick Ziegler
After a win against the New York Jets, New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, is feeling better this week after being questionable.
There was certainly a slight cause for concern this week for the New England Patriots, as Tom Brady was listed as questionable heading into the game against the New York Jets.
Despite battling the flu along with a bit of a knee injury, Brady was able to play against the Jets and help the Patriots get a win. With the AFC playoff picture still wide open, it is important for the Patriots to control what they can and win games for the rest of the season.
In the win over the Jets, Brady performed well despite not being 100 percent. Against New York, Brady totaled 283 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Most importantly, it didn’t appear like Brady did anything to hurt the knee further.
Brady recently spoke to Jim Gray on Westwood One and spoke about how he was feeling heading into Week 13. Here’s what he said with text via NESN.com.
"“I’m certainly doing better this week,” Brady said Monday in his Westwood One interview with Jim Gray. “We had the game against Tennessee where I got a little nicked up and then had the bye week and was hoping to have a full week of practice, and it just didn’t allow for it. I’m feeling a lot better. A little flu has been going around, but I’m feeling a lot better and hopefully I really turned the corner with my knee this week.”"
Even though the Vikings might not be as good as we thought they would be this season, they are a hungry team in need of a win. Like the Patriots, the Vikings are hoping to be a playoff contender this season, and they need to play well to keep pace with the Chicago Bears in the NFC North.
The Vikings still have a very good defense that can get after the quarterback, and having Brady healthy will be important. With some pressure and an unclean pocket to be expected on occasion, Brady will have to be able to move around a bit on Sunday.
Seeing that he is feeling better after the Jets game is certainly good news, as the Patriots will need him to have a solid performance on Sunday.
