New England Patriots: Tom Brady set to play against New York Jets
By Nick Ziegler
In Week 12, the New England Patriots will be facing the New York Jets. Luckily, it appears that Tom Brady is good to go.
This week, there was a good amount of concern for the New England Patriots, as they headed to New Jersey for a matchup with the New York Jets. Tom Brady popped up on the injury report and his status was questionable.
However, with Sunday here, Brady appears to be ready to go against the Jets despite having the questionable tag. Having Brady on the field is obviously important for the Patriots, as they need every win they can get now.
Since the Kansas City Chiefs are playing so well, the Patriots certainly want to try and keep up with them in the quest for home-field advantage. While the Patriots are looking to be a Super Bowl contender once again this season, the Jets are heading in the wrong direction.
On Sunday, the Jets will be without starting quarterback, Sam Darnold. Last week, Josh McCown didn’t perform all that well despite having a good season last year. After a blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills at home, the Jets will likely want to try and put on a better performance this week against the Patriots.
So far this season, Brady has been a bit up-and-down like the entire offense. However, coming off the bye week against a poor opponent makes this a good spot for the offense to bounce back.
As the Patriots look towards the playoffs, this might be the healthiest that they have been in quite a while, as Rob Gronkowski will also be playing against the Jets. As one of Brady’s best weapons, having Gronkowski missing time has certainly played a factor in Brady having some passing struggles in the red zone.
With the Jets struggling and the Patriots looking to bounce back off a loss, expect to see a good performance from New England against New York.
