The New England Patriots continue their road trip with a stop to Orchard Park to face the Buffalo Bills.

The New England Patriots are rolling once again. They are a riding a four-game winning streak, as they have gotten back on track after an early season swoon. They have a great chance to keep their momentum going in Week 8.

The Patriots will travel to take on their AFC East rivals, the Buffalo Bills. Divisional opponents always offer up some challenges, but this isn’t your normal Bills team.

Buffalo has the worst offense in the NFL, as they are void of any real playmakers outside of running back LeSean McCoy. McCoy isn’t even at 100 percent, as he remains in concussion protocol and is questionable for Monday Night Football.

At quarterback, the Bills will be turning to Derek Anderson. Just a few weeks ago, Anderson was out of the league. The Bills decided to bring him in as a veteran mentor for rookie Josh Allen, who is now sidelined with an injury of his own. With Nathan Peterman extremely ineffective, Anderson is who will be turned to again.

This is the perfect get right game for the Patriots defense. Opponents have scored at least 24 points in three straight weeks against New England. The offense has bailed them out, but they will be far from full strength this week.

Running back Sony Michel, who was coming into his own as the lead back, is out after suffering what looked like a gruesome knee injury last week against the Chicago Bears. There was no structural damage, but he could be sidelined a little while.

In addition to Michel, tight end Rob Gronkowski is questionable again. If he is not 100 percent, the Patriots would be smart to hold him out. They shouldn’t need Gronkowski to beat the lowly Bills. If he is at risk of injuring his back worse, he should be held out.

The spread should come as no surprise as the Patriots are rolling and the Bills are struggling mightily. If this game was in New England, it would not be a surprise to see them as three score favorites. This is a large spread to cover. The only difficulty New England will probably have is if they keep their foot on the gas and run up the score.
