New England Patriots: Week 8 fantasy projection for Tom Brady
By Nick Ziegler
With Week 8 of the fantasy football season here, what can owners expect from New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady.
Week 8 of the fantasy football season is already here, and the New England Patriots are starting to get into their groove after a slow start to the season.
After losses to the Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars, some were starting to panic in New England. However, that slow start looks like a distant memory, and the Patriots offense has been much better the past four games.
One of the reasons for the improvement on the offensive side of the ball has been them having all of their weapons back and healthy. Since trading for Josh Gordon and getting Julian Edelman back, the Patriots have been moving the ball a lot easier.
With his full array of weapons, Tom Brady has been playing much better during the four-game winning streak, and that has resulted in good games for fantasy owners. In the last four games, Brady has totaled at least 270 passing yards in each game. In that same span, Brady has also totaled 10 touchdown passes with three touchdown passes in three of the four games.
In Week 8, the Patriots will be facing the Buffalo Bills on the road. Weather can always be an issue when playing in Buffalo, but Brady and the Patriots are certainly used to less than ideal throwing conditions.
So far this season, the Bills have been a bit better than advertised. However, they are starting Derek Anderson now at quarterback, and this should be an easy win for New England. The Bills defense has done a good job against quarterbacks in fantasy this season, as they are allowed just over 15 points per game.
Coming off a win against a much better Bears defense, the defense of the Bills should be no issue for Brady and the Patriots passing attack.
