New England Patriots: 4 keys to a victory against the Indianapolis Colts
4. Will the real Gronk please stand up?
Rob Gronkowski is one of the most intimidating offensive weapons in the NFL right now and possibly of all time. His size and speed are the perfect mix that make him one of the best tight ends. He can block in the running game as well as getting deep into the defense in the pass game. Once he catches the ball and gets into open field, good luck trying to stop the 6’6″ 265 LB offensive weapon.
However, over the last few weeks, it seems as though Gronkowski has been pretty much non-existent. He had only 2 catches against the Jaguars for 15 yards and then against the Lions he had 51 yards on 4 receptions. Last week against Miami, he had 4 receptions on 44 yards but left the game with an ankle injury.
This comes at a tough time for the New England Patriots offense because as soon as they get Edelman back for the season and start to turn in the right direction, he goes down. His status is still unclear for Thursday but if he does indeed play, will we see the Gronkowski of old? Or will he be held down due to good defense?
