The New England Patriots were able to bounce back after two losses with a convincing win over the Miami Dolphins.

Coming into Week 4, there was certainly some concern for the New England Patriots. After two straight losses for the Patriots for the first time since 2015, they were able to silence some of the critics with a big win over the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins were 3-0 coming into this game, but without a signature win, they were looking to prove that they were indeed a legit team this season. However, the blowout loss certainly makes the Dolphins seem like they are not on the same level as the Patriots despite the better record.

Heading into the week, all eyes were on the offense for the Patriots. Coming off a shockingly poor performance against the Detroit Lions, the Patriots certainly needed a spark on the offensive side of the ball. The spark came from Sony Michel.

In his third game of the season, Michel was able to total the first 100-yard rushing game of his career. In the win. Michel totaled 112 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown on 25 carries. The balance brought to the offense by the solid running game certainly made things easier for the passing offense.

While Michel certainly had his breakout game, James White also helped out in the backfield. White was able to total eight receptions and also carried the ball eight times for 112 total yards.

It was certainly good to see the offense put it together with a 38-point outburst, but a lot of credit has to go to the defense as well. Even though the offense has taken a brunt of the blame, this was a defense that wasn’t performing all that well the past two weeks either. If not for a late touchdown with the game already over, the Patriots could have had a shutout.

This was certainly a must-win game for the Patriots, and they played like it. Now, they will have a short week before getting back at it on Thursday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts.
