New England Patriots vs Miami Dolphins Week 4 final injury report
The New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins both have full injury reports heading into their Week 4 matchups.
The New England Patriots head into Week 4 on a surprising losing streak. After losing on the road to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2 and the Detroit Lions in Week 3, they will look to get back on track this week.
The Patriots‘ Week 4 matchup is tougher than anticipated. New England will host their AFC East rivals, the undefeated, Miami Dolphins.
While they haven’t faced the stiffest competition, the Dolphins have still won all of their games. Miami defeated the Tennessee Titans, New York Jets and the Oakland Raiders. They will now face a stiff test in the Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
This is a big game for both organizations. New England wants to get things back on track after a slow start to the season. Miami wants to show that their start to the season isn’t a fluke and that they will be here to stay for the long haul.
Both teams could be shorthanded going into the game this weekend. It is anyone’s guess who will take the field for the Patriots this weekend.

New England has an unprecedented 11 players listed as questionable for the game. That doesn’t include Danny Shelton, who was a limited participant in the first two days of practice and didn’t have a participation level listed for Friday.
Every player listed for New England was a limited participant, at best, throughout the week. Marcus Cannon, Patrick Chung, Keion Crossen, Nate Ebner, Trey Flowers, Josh Gordon, Geneo Grissom, Rob Gronkowski, Jacob Hollister, Brandon King and Eric Rowe were all listed as questionable.
Chung, Flowers and Rowe are the ones to keep an eye on, as all three missed last week’s game against the Lions. Patriots fans are also awaiting the debut of Gordon, who was acquired from the Cleveland Browns in a trade last week.
Not mentioned on the injury report were Rex Burkhead and Ja’Whaun Bentley, who were both placed on IR this week. Burkhead landed on IR because of a neck injury, while Bentley’s reasoning for being on IR was unknown.
For Miami, they will also be without some key players. Defensive end Andre Branch, tight end A.J. Derby and outside linebacker Chase Allen are all listed as our. Defensive end William Hayes was also injured last week, tearing his ACL. The injury occurred, according to Dolphins’ head coach Adam Gase, when Hayes attempted to avoid a roughing the passer penalty on a sack of Derek Carr.
The Dolphins’ injury report was rounded out by defensive tackle Davon Godchaux, free safety Rashad Jones, wide receiver DeVante Parker, defensive end Cameron Wake and offensive tackle Sam Young.
No matter who gets on the field, you know both teams will be ready to play. Despite it only being Week 4, this is an important game for both teams that could set the tone for the remainder of the season.
