As we head into Week 3, what can fantasy football owners expect from New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady.

With Week 3 of the fantasy football season, many owners are hoping for a bounce back from some of their fantasy players on the New England Patriots. In Week 2, the Patriots had a very challenging matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Even though the Patriots have the potential to score 30 points on any team in the NFL, that was not the case against the Jaguars. Jacksonville was able to disrupt the offense rather well, and that resulted in a mediocre game for Tom Brady.

In the loss, Brady didn’t have his normal type of game, as he totaled 234 passing yards and two touchdown passes. While it wasn’t a bad game for Brady, it was certainly a struggle throughout.

Luckily for Brady and his fantasy owners, he will be getting a much easier matchup in Week 3. On Sunday Night Football, Brady and the Patriots will be playing the Detroit Lions.

This game will be the first time that the Patriots are playing against their former defensive coordinator, Matt Patricia. While Patricia might have some plans to bother Brady, the Lions might be outmatched against the high-powered Patriots offense.

So far this season, the Lions have been blown out by the Jets, and then suffered a close loss against the San Francisco 49ers. Even though they are 0-2, the Lions haven’t allowed a ton of fantasy points to the two opposing quarterbacks. With their rushing defense not playing well, opposing teams haven’t had to throw the ball a ton against them.

Even though the Lions are struggling to stop the run, the Patriots will still likely be attacking them through the air. After playing a really tough defense in the Jaguars, the Patriots will likely welcome the easier defense in the Lions this week. For Brady, a big performance can certainly happen, even though the Lions haven’t allowed a ton of fantasy points to opponents.

Projection: 300 passing yards and 3 passing touchdowns.
