The fantasy football season is finally upon us. Here are five players to target in the Week 1 matchup between the New England Patriots and Houston Texans.

Thousands and thousands of fantasy football drafts have been done in the past few months. Now, those managers will get to showcase their skills as the fantasy football season begun Thursday night with the NFL’s regular season beginning.

The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles hosted the Atlanta Falcons on opening night. Injuries to some big named players caused some problems for fantasy football owners, but the New England Patriots and Houston Texans should provide owners with plenty of opportunities.

The Patriots and Texans have plenty of players that fantasy football owners in daily and season-long leagues should be playing this week in their games. The over/under on the total for the Patriots and Texans is set at 50.5, which is the highest of the week according to Odds Sharks. That makes this game a good target for fantasy football owners looking to fill out their lineup in Week 1.

With such a high scoring game expected by Las Vegas, fantasy football owners should follow suit. There are a number of players on both the Patriots and Texans that are worth starting no matter the type of fantasy game that you are playing in.

Defense is expected to be tough to come by on Sunday afternoon. Here are five players worth rostering and starting in Week 1 in the game between the Patriots and Texans.
