In his first preseason game of the year, Tom Brady looked like he was in mid-season form against the Philadelphia Eagles. Due to a minor back issue, Brady sat out in Week 1 of the preseason against the Washington Redskins, but it was reported during the week that he would be back in action, and he certainly was.

Brady looked locked in right from the start, as he was able to go 5-for-5 on his first drive of the game. That drive resulted in a touchdown pass to Chris Hogan, who is a favorite of Brady in the red zone.

Overall, Brady went 19-for-26 with 172 passing yards and two touchdowns. While the Patriots lost to the Eagles in the Super Bowl, many might have forgotten how well Brady played in that game. He was able to total over 500 passing yards against the Eagles, and he was picking up right where he left off against the Eagles defense.

Brady did end up playing the entire first half, as he looked pretty sharp throughout. There were certainly no signs of rust for the reigning MVP, and the Patriots should be very pleased with what they saw from their quarterback.
