Recent Patriots rumors are that quarterback, Tom Brady, is expected to play a good chunk of the first half against the Philadelphia Eagles.

As we approach the second game of the preseason, recent Patriots rumors have been about how much we will see Tom Brady on the field. On Thursday night, the Patriots will be playing their second preseason game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles.

This will be the first time that the two teams have played since the Super Bowl in February, but it certainly won’t have the same feel. While the Patriots would likely want to get some revenge, they will be more focused on getting better for the start of the 2018 season.

In the first week of the preseason, the Patriots surprisingly held out Brady due to a minor back issue. However, Brady practiced this week in full and is expected to not only start, but play a good amount against the Eagles according to Jeff Howe.

Seeing Brady back on the field will certainly be exciting for fans, and after missing the first week of the preseason, the Patriots might want to get him some extra snaps in this week.  Due to all of the new faces at wide receiver, getting reps with these guys in games will be important for Brady and the receivers.

As of now, there are a lot of injuries and question marks at the wide receiver position, as the Patriots would like to get a better idea of what they have at the position currently. Getting potentially a full first half of Brady should result in a good amount of opportunities to throw the ball for New England.

Since starters rarely play in the fourth preseason game, this will be a good tune-up for Brady and the offense on Thursday night before the third preseason game next week. All eyes will certainly be on No. 12 when he steps under center on Thursday night.
